  • What is the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist?
    Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can prescribe medications and focus on the biological aspects of mental health conditions. Psychologists hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) and specialize in psychotherapy and psychological assessments. While they often collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists cannot prescribe medications in most states.
  • Do you take insurance?
    No, we are a direct-pay practice. This allows us to focus entirely on your care without the restrictions of insurance. However, we can provide you with a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Click here for more info regarding our payment model.
  • Do you see patients in person or by telehealth?
    We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments to accommodate your preferences and needs.
  • When should I expect to hear back from an inquiry?
    Initial inquiries: Phone calls and emails will be returned within one week. After your first appointment: Calls and emails will be answered within one business day. Follow-up appointments: These are typically scheduled every 1–3 months, depending on your treatment plan. Emergency appointments: Established patients can access emergency appointments as needed.
